Polymicro Technologies' MediSpec waveguides combine visible beam aiming and power delivery in a single carbon dioxide and Er:YAG laser system to make the medical process safer, easier and faster. Designed for a wide range of laser power applications, MediSpec Hollow Silica Waveguide Fibers are available in 500, 750 and 1000 μm internal diameters and in the 2.9 to 10.6 μm wavelength range. The Teflon sheath material is biocompatible and can withstand the sterilization process in minimally invasive medical procedures. SMA, ST and FC connectors are available on request, with a variety of termination options.

MediSpec waveguides are manufactured in Molex's FDA-approved facility and meet all requirements for labeling, packaging, and sterilization in the FDA 21 CFR 820 Quality System Specification (QSR) and cGMP standards.
