On-site diagnosis

Ultrasound images of the brain can be obtained using existing hardware. This image information can be captured by scanning a motion sensor on the ultrasound probe at the thinnest specific part of the skull.

The probe captures 40 images per second and creates 3-D images from approximately 2,000 personal images.

The software is designed to guide medics who have only received basic training using ultrasound (showing the scanned and unscanned areas) to scan the brain as much as possible. Once the scan is complete, the file containing the brain scan can be sent to the expert for analysis and appropriate recommendations will be returned to the medical staff.

Because of the special nature of battlefield scenes, soldiers who are "invisible" are easily overlooked, so it is helpful to scan the head for any unusual signs in a relatively simple way.
