In fact, the winter pond water is shallow, the water temperature changes quickly, and the temperature difference is large, which is unfavorable for fish growth. After the water level drops, the fish population density increases accordingly, and it is easy to cause lack of oxygen and stop the fish from growing or even die. Therefore, to ensure the safety of fish over winter, the pond must maintain a deeper water level. The water depth in the southern region should be 1.5 to 2 meters, and the minimum should be no less than 1.5 meters, which is deeper than the water level. The water depth in the northern region should be between 2 and 2.5 meters and the minimum should be no less than 2 meters. Below this level, the water level should be deepened in time.

3. Appropriate fertilization pond fertilization should be based on the transparency of the water to master. If the transparency of the water is about 30 centimeters, it shows that the water body is thin and moderate. If the transparency exceeds 45 cm, the body of water is too thin. If it is a pond in ponds, inorganic fertilizer should be applied. The application rate depends on the transparency of the water body. 4. Strengthen routine management In the winter, we must insist on frequent patrol ponds, observe the changes in water color early, mid and late, and make the pool water “fat, live, tender, and cool”. Regularly (10-15 days) infuse new water and discharge old water. . If it is found that the water quality is discolored, cloudy, darkened, and has rancid odor, indicating that the water quality has deteriorated, it is necessary to replace the new water in a timely manner and increase oxygen properly. The quick lime can be splashed every 20 days. Each time, the lime is 10 kilograms in water with a depth of 1 meter per mu. If fish ponds are found to be frozen at ice eyes, they need to be able to break the ice in time and add new water or use other methods to increase oxygen.
