British scientists are working on new ways to develop cancer treatment.

Researchers at the University of Manchester have created “nano-grass” that can introduce drugs into cancer cells and destroy them. "Nano-Grenade" is based on the fat body (a special connective tissue that is made up of a large number of fat cells, which are separated from the cluster of fat cells by loose connective tissue into many fat lobules).

Scientists at the Liverpool meeting announced the study, they said, "nano-grass" will remain inactive before entering the tumor center, but after entering the tumor center, they will "explode" and fire drugs around.

One of the researchers, Costas Kostarelosa, said that the "tipping point" for heating "nano-grass" is 42 degrees Celsius, which is only a few degrees Celsius higher than the normal temperature of the human body. The “Grenade” work is currently only carried out in a laboratory environment, but there are several methods for heating cancer cells in patients, some of which have been used in modern medicine.

Using this method, it is possible to "cheat" the cancer cell's protective mechanism and then destroy most of it. In laboratory tests, experts used “nano grenade” to successfully destroy melanoma in rodents. Experts hope to get permission for clinical trials in the near future, because their research results are of great significance to humans.
