QUESO BLANCO

I’ll admit upfront that this recipe probably isn’t what you’d find in an authentic Mexican restaurant. However, the taste is so spot-on that it feels like I’ve just been served at one of those places! It’s absolutely delicious, and while I’m eager to experiment with a fresh version someday, I decided to stay true to the original recipe for my first attempt.

As you can see, even my little guy couldn’t resist diving into the queso while I was snapping photos! My husband loved it too, and truthfully, so did I. In fact, I ended up making a second batch before dinner because I couldn’t help myself—it’s incredibly addictive, just like at a restaurant!

Queso Blanco (Adapted from sixsistersstuff.com)

Ingredients

  • â…“ lb. White American Cheese (I used 7 slices)
  • 2 Tbsp. Diced Green Chiles
  • 1 Tbsp. Diced Pickled Jalapeños
  • 1 Tbsp. Pickled Jalapeño Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Whole Milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Water

Directions

Simply place all the ingredients into a microwave-safe bowl and heat them in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round. Serve right away. This recipe yields approximately 1 cup of Queso Blanco and can easily be doubled or tripled to feed a larger crowd.

That’s it—super simple and mouthwatering. I’m officially adding this to our regular taco nights here at home!
