The propagation of fruit trees through cuttings mainly involves two techniques: hardwood and green-wood propagation. In recent years, green-wood propagation has gained increasing popularity in fruit tree cultivation due to its advantages over traditional hardwood methods. This method is especially beneficial for varieties that are difficult to root, as green cuttings typically have a higher success rate, faster rooting, and improved survival rates. Additionally, green-branch propagation allows for earlier nursery exit and increased propagation efficiency. The optimal time for green-branch propagation is between July and August when the plant cells are actively dividing, promoting rapid callus formation and growth. Whether using cuttings or grafting, it's common practice to leave only half of the leaves on the branch. This helps maintain normal photosynthesis while reducing transpiration, thus improving the chances of successful establishment. There are two main approaches for half-leaf green-branch propagation. One popular technique is the use of semi-hardwood cuttings, which are more vigorous and easier to root than hardwoods. For example, cherry trees propagated with green cuttings can achieve survival rates above 80%, effectively addressing issues like poor sprouting and lack of buds seen in hardwood propagation. To carry out green-branch cutting, the soil should be well-prepared—level, clean, and free of debris. A suitable growing medium, such as perlite, is recommended because it resists pests and provides good aeration. Cuttings should be selected from semi-woody, healthy shoots with 3 to 5 buds, and half the leaves should be removed. After planting, thorough watering ensures close contact between the cutting and the soil. Maintaining high humidity (ideally 100%) is crucial for survival. This can be achieved using automatic misting systems or by covering the area with a greenhouse. Shade structures, such as straw huts, should be used to protect the cuttings from direct sunlight, which can negatively impact their survival. Green-branch grafting often uses the splice grafting method, which offers high survival rates, fast growth, and early fruiting. It is particularly effective for fruit trees like grapes that are difficult to propagate through budding. For green-branch grafting, semi-woody scions with 2 to 4 buds and half the leaves are used. The grafting process is similar to hardwood grafting, but instead of tying directly, a plastic bag is placed over the graft union. The bag is secured with a rope, and two small holes are punctured with a needle. This setup retains moisture and heat, promoting healing without interfering with the leaves' ability to perform photosynthesis. This step is critical for successful grafting. After about three weeks, the bag should be removed to check for survival. If successful, the bag is left in place until the graft is fully established.

Semi-automatic Video Measuring Machine

Features of semi-automatic Video Measuring Machine:

The main body of the equipment is made of high-precision natural granite, which has stable temperature characteristics and resistance to aging deformation, ensuring measurement stability and long-term accuracy.

High precision fully closed-loop automatic zoom optical lens

Telecentric optical principle: Adopting a parallel light path optical design, the size of the object's image does not change with the distance from the lens, resulting in additional measurement errors in the perspective effect.

An automatic zoom optical telephoto lens is a lens specially designed to correct the parallax of traditional lenses. It can be used within a certain object distance range to ensure that the magnification of the obtained image does not change with the change of object distance. This is an important application for situations where the measured object is not on the same surface.
