**Variety and Venue Selection** When selecting wild fleas for processing, it's important to ensure they are healthy, disease-free, and show no signs of being stripped. The fleas should be large, ideally weighing over 100 grams. The venue should be well-ventilated, bright, and easy to access for setting up a pool. It should also be sheltered from direct sunlight and rain, with a reliable water source nearby. A clean and dry area is essential to maintain hygiene during the process. **Stripping Time** The best time to strip fleas is between April and October, with June to September being the most ideal period. Stripping too early may result in incomplete shedding, while late stripping could affect quality. The optimal time for the process is usually in the second half of the night—between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Alternatively, it can be done after a few days of fine weather or just before a thunderstorm. The ideal temperature for stripping is between 25°C and 32°C, and the entire process typically lasts about 5 minutes. **Pool Construction** The pool should be constructed to fit dimensions of approximately 120 x 90 x 40 cm. Too large a pool is inefficient, while too small may make it difficult to distinguish individual fleas. The bottom of the pool should have a slight slope (2–4 cm) to allow water to collect in one corner, where drainage holes should be placed. The pool must remain moist, and water should be sprayed 2–5 times daily depending on the weather and humidity. It’s crucial to keep the pool clean and smooth, and it should be thoroughly cleaned every morning. If the pool is made of concrete, it should be filled with water two months after construction to prevent cracking. **Drug Stripping** To assist in the stripping process, use a fine sprayer to apply a small amount of the drug to the dried gill area of the flea. After one hour, use a cotton ball dipped in the No. 2 liquid solution to gently wipe the mouth area. The fleas should be left undisturbed for 4–10 days after application, allowing them to shed naturally. **Stripping Symptoms** During the stripping process, fleas may appear sluggish, wet, and slightly curved. They might arch their backs and move their hind legs. Within a few minutes, they will begin to shed. The process usually starts from the back, then moves to the hind and front legs. When the first four claws become visible, the flea should be caught quickly. Hold the flea with your right hand using your fingers, and place it in a bowl of cold water using your left hand. **Cloth Treatment** Use tweezers to gently submerge the cloth in water and carefully move it until it is fully unfastened. If not tied, place a glass dish filled with enamel oil on one side and a piece of cloth on the other. Position the glass face down with the oil side up. The glass should measure approximately 25 x 140.3 cm, and it should be tilted so that the head of the flea is in the outer half of the water. Gently adjust each part of the cloth to its correct position. Carefully pull the glass away from the water. Once dry, the cloth can be removed and stored in a book for sale. If any parts are missing, they should be completed in the water. In case of contamination, the cloth should be disinfected using an infrared sterilizer. **Drug Formula** No. 1 Drug: Mix 0.5 grams of Machiko, ephedra, coltsfoot flowers, wood pass, bergamot, betel nut, dried tangerine peel, licorice, and dried ginger with 5 grams of cold water. Let the mixture sit for 48 hours to create a static bubble. No. 2 Drug: Combine 10 grams each of mulberry, Baiyilao, agrimony, polygala, green wind cane, white peony root, astragalus, and asarum with 0.5 kg of cold water. Allow it to rest for 48 hours to form a static bubble.
