Hydraulic suspension systems for tractors are typically categorized into three main types: split hydraulic systems, semi-split hydraulic systems, and integral hydraulic systems. Each system has its own unique control mechanisms and operational procedures that must be followed to ensure safe and efficient use. When using a separate hydraulic system, it is crucial to operate the controls correctly. When lifting an implement, the handle should be released as soon as it reaches the raised position. Once the implement is at its highest point, the handle will automatically return to the neutral position. However, when lowering the implement or adjusting its depth during tillage, the handle should be moved to the floating position. In this mode, the handle will not automatically return to neutral, so care must be taken to avoid unintended movement. The "strong drop" function is specific to double-acting cylinders and is usually used as a transition phase when the implement enters the soil. It should not be held in this position for extended periods, as it can cause the implement to drop suddenly, potentially lifting the tractor and causing damage to the cylinder’s bottom bracket due to excessive tension. Using the neutral position for farming is generally discouraged, as it acts as a disguised adjustment that places unnecessary strain on high-pressure hoses, increasing the risk of damage. When moving the handle between positions, it should not be left in between for long periods, as this can cause the oil pump to overheat due to poor flow. For semi-split hydraulic systems, proper joystick usage is essential. When adjusting the depth of tillage, the position adjustment lever should first be set to the lifting position. The height of the implement is determined by where the lever is placed, and only the force adjustment lever should be used to lift the tool. After selecting the desired depth, the positioning handwheel should be used to lock the lever in place, ensuring consistent depth with each operation. When using the position adjustment feature, the force adjustment lever should be placed in the highest lifting position before making any changes. Only the position adjustment lever should be used to raise the implement. Once the desired descent and lifting positions are chosen, the positioning handwheel can be used to secure the lever in place. During long-distance transport, after raising the implement to the transport position, the handle should be locked using the positioning handwheel. The descending speed adjustment wheel should also be tightened to block the oil drainage path, keeping the implement securely in place and preventing accidental movement. It is important not to pull the position adjustment lever into the “hydraulic output” area when hydraulic power is not needed, as this can cause the safety valve to open frequently, leading to increased wear on the oil pump and energy loss. Integral hydraulic systems integrate all components—power, control, and working parts—into a single unit, eliminating the need for a separate reservoir. The working fluid used is typically gear oil from the rear axle. For lifting and lowering agricultural implements, the fan-shaped outer handle is fixed in the “light-deep” range. Pulling the handle to the “fast” mark on the sector plate causes the implement to lower quickly, while pulling it to the “slow” position results in a slower descent. Adjusting the handle within the “up and down” section of the sector plate allows the implement to be positioned at different heights above the ground. When adjusting the force during tillage, the inner handle should be set to the appropriate descent speed in the “fast-slow” section, while the outer handle selects the desired depth in the “deep-shallow” section. During plowing, the handle should be moved up and down without making major adjustments to the outer handle. For position adjustment operations, the handle should be operated within the “up and down” section, with the outer handle positioned below the “deep” mark on the sector plate. When transporting farm tools, both handles should be set to the highest lifting position and secured with the positioning handwheel. The outer handle should remain in the “deep-shallow” section. Avoid pulling both handles upward, as this may put the outer handle in the hydraulic output position, preventing the spool valve from returning to neutral and forcing the safety valve to open. When using hydraulic output, the inner handle should be set to the desired descent speed in the “fast-slow” section, while the outer handle is pulled up to the hydraulic output position. If the outer handle is slightly pushed forward, it returns to the neutral position. If pushed further, it initiates the descent of the implement. Finally, when the hydraulic pump is not in use, the eccentric shaft clutch handle should be moved to the “off” position to prevent unnecessary wear on internal components. Always fully engage the clutch when operating the hydraulic pump.
